Does salt-free conditioning remove hardness?
No. It helps manage scale while calcium and magnesium remain in the water. It is not equivalent to ion-exchange softening. Mineral spots and a hard-water test result can remain.
What are the four stages?
The four stages are sediment filtration, KDF/granular activated carbon, salt-free conditioning, and carbon block filtration. Cartridge order follows water flow, not housing color or the direction of a photograph.
What conditioning media comes with my system?
Your written proposal identifies the conditioning cartridge and media included with your system. Salt-free conditioning helps manage scale while leaving calcium and magnesium in the water.
When do the cartridges need replacement?
Plan cartridge replacement at 6–12 months or 100,000 gallons. Water conditions and usage can require earlier replacement. Your quote and service plan identify the appropriate schedule.
Does the system need salt, power or regeneration?
The base four-stage cartridge system needs no salt refills, electrical supply or brine regeneration. Optional RO and UV equipment have separate installation and maintenance requirements.
Can I use it for private well water?
A private well needs source-water analysis before treatment is selected. This system alone is not a disinfectant. Water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality requires adequate disinfection and a source-specific treatment plan.
Does it replace under-sink reverse osmosis?
No. Whole-home filtration treats the incoming household supply. Optional under-sink RO treats drinking and cooking water at a dedicated kitchen faucet; refrigerator or ice-maker connections are separate options.
What is included in installation and coverage?
ClrWtrCo’s advertised cartridge packages include professional installation and a bypass manifold. Final plumbing scope, equipment warranty eligibility and any applicable 30-day satisfaction terms are stated in your written agreement. Large-tank warranty terms do not apply to this cartridge system.
